Waterfront Festival to Celebrate Art, Wine & Chocolate

SUISUN CITY — Come to Suisun City’s Waterfront District for a taste of the good life featuring art, wine and chocolate at the 2009 Waterfront Festival on October 3 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Overlooking the scenic waterfront, the Festival celebrates Suisun Valley wine, local chocolate and talented artists who call this region home.

Come sample the latest Suisun Valley wine offerings from Ledgewood Creek, WinterHawk, Wooden Valley and Vezer Family Vineyard. We’re also welcoming Purple Pearl Winery from Dixon.  If you find a favorite, stop by the on-site wine store to purchase a bottle, or a case, to take home with you!  Wine tasting is only $20, which includes a free commemorative glass.

Among the chocolate specialties available for sampling will be Michele’s Chocolate Truffles from Treasures Boutique, and Chocolate Baklava from Athenian Grill.

Plus, browse the art show for original paintings, photographs, jewelry, and much, much more all produced by local artisans.  These are one-of-a kind pieces available for sale to beautify your home or to present as a unique and special gift.

No party is complete without music, and the Waterfront Festival is proud to present Inner Soul and Time Bandits live in concert.  The R&B stylings of Inner Soul start at 11 a.m., with upbeat party favorites by Time Bandits starting at 2:30 p.m.

The 7th Annual Bake-off is a favorite part of the Waterfront Festival. Original recipes for cakes, pies and more are welcome for a fun and lively competition in a number of age-based divisions.  For all the details, contact Vickie Clayton at 707-429-9095.

The Waterfront Festival is sponsored by the Suisun City Historic Waterfront BID, City of Suisun City and Solano Garbage. For more information, go online to or
