Two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks will make a one-night only fundraising appearance at Solano College Theatre in Fairfield on February 6, 2010. Mr. Hanks’ visit will include a presentation on the Campus Theatre stage, as well as a dinner with guests.  Tickets on sale soon at Harbor Theatre in Suisun City.

When it comes to tree lighting ceremonies, the one at New York City's Rockefeller Center may be one of the most widely recognized, but Suisun has something the Big Apple doesn't -- Santa Claus arriving on a lighted boat parade.

SUISUN CITY - Last year's popular synthetic ice rink is returning to the Suisun City waterfront today, bigger and better than it was before.

Longtime restaurateur Bob Tooke, proprietor of downtown Vacaville's 25-year-old Merchant & Main Grill & Bar, hopes his formula for good food in a comfortable atmosphere will continue to serve him in good stead at his latest culinary venture on Suisun City's revitalized waterfront.

Walking through the parking lot it was impossible to miss Sool, the center's resident golden eagle and Jim Furco, his handler, who were standing out in front attracting visitors. Saturday happened to be the center's annual open house and staff and volunteers were on hand to give tours and educational talks about the animals that call the center home.

SUISUN CITY - For the first time in about 15 years, a Fairfield-Suisun School District high school will offer a play off campus at a local theater. Rodriguez High School's fall production of 'Steel Magnolias' will take place at the Suisun Harbor Theater, 720 Main St. in Suisun City.

Come to the Suisun Wildlife Center to adopt a 'wild' pumpkin for a small donation, and help support the Center's work of rescuing and releasing back to the wild injured and orphaned wildlife.
