Snow Day

Snow Day coming to the Suisun City Waterfront District the Saturday after Thanksgiving to kick off the 2nd Annual Old World Christmas Market, chockful of unque holiday gift and decorative items!

SNOW DAY DETAILS

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. November 27 (weather permitting)
• On Solano Avenue at the Promenade
• For children 12 years and under only
• FREE .  Sponsored by the Matt Garcia Foundation and the Suisun City Historic Waterfront BID

Twenty tons of ice will be converted into a 1,000 square foot snow lot between the Athenian Grill and Air, Land & Sea Travel. Depending on the weather and use, the snow is expected to last up to five hours. (Unfortunately, a solid rain forecast will cancel Snow Day.)

"To have children play in the snow who may not otherwise have ever seen snow is a wonderful idea," said Vince Guisande, Matt Garcia Foundation board member and founding member of the Suisun City Historic Waterfront BID. "To the best of our knowledge, there has not been a snow event in the Fairfield-Suisun City area."
